DMU Scripting and Searching – Aug 13

This course provides an examination and understanding of the role of scripting languages (e.g. VBScript, bash, awk, ksh, PERL, Javascript) in the digital evidence examiner’s toolkit and how simple utilities can be developed using these languages. The fundamentals of scripting, regular expressions and pattern matching, sorting and searching algorithms will be considered.
